Sisters Leah and Michelle Svensson, known as The Resistance Chicks, talked about the power of prayer in changing a nation during the June 24 episode of “Headline News” on Brighteon.TV. They were joined in the show by Grace Life Church Pastors Buck and Amy Schafer.
Michelle said June 24 is going down in history as the day when the Constitution and life prevailed once again in the United States as the Supreme Court overturned the Roe v. Wade ruling, including the Casey law. (Related: Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade, sending issue of abortion back to states where it always belonged.)
Pastor Buck, who is the lead pastor and co-founder of Grace Life Church in Pittsburgh, said they are seeing God move and that their prayer teams have been decreeing in God’s name for three years that Roe v. Wade will be overturned.
Meanwhile, Pastor Amy explained that people can’t complain, be mad or angry when praying about everything because coming before the throne room of God and crying out on behalf of God’s people is another thing. She noted that many amazing things are happening in America and that the overturn of Roe v. Wade is nothing short of a miracle.
The Schafers will hold an event called Pittsburgh Prays at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh on July 10. The event seeks to unite at least 400 Patriot Pastors in the country.
Leah shared that they have been praying for Ohio and its leaders and that they have organized the Patriot Pastors and Patriot Candidates events.
“And we’re praying. We’re trying to make a move here in Ohio to where we pray for God’s will to be done. For God to raise up godly men and women to help lead our state,” Leah said.
Pastor Amy said they want to boldly and freely preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. “And this is a time for God’s people to bring hope, faith and encouragement to others who need it,” she said.
She also mentioned that their Church made a decision not to shut down during the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic because people were looking for hope and answers and the Church needs to be there.
Pastor Buck stressed that people need a standard of truth and bold pastors need to rise up, stand up and declare the truth. He also said that “believers must pray every day, but they must also fight, do something and hold the line.”
The Grace Life Church lead pastor added that righteous people must have one voice and one agreement so that they can make things happen.
Leah pointed out that believers can pray for people and ask God to bring healing to the nation. She added that there is a cancer in Washington D.C. and the state legislatures.
“Believers have the authority in Jesus Christ to remove the spiritual cancer, and speak life into the government,” she said.
Pastor Buck mentioned that the Church is the answer and it must rise up now.
“It is time for the Church to wake up, get filled with the Spirit of God and go into every man’s world to preach the gospel and be a witness,” he said. “God is waiting for Christian believers to exercise the spiritual authority that has been given to us.”
