The word “holocaust” is most often attributed to the events that took place in Nazi Germany under the leadership of Adolph Hitler, but did you know that a much worse genocide occurred in the former Soviet Union?
The Bolsheviks, most of them Jewish, took over Russia of old, which was Orthodox Christian at the time, and force-converted everyone to atheism and communism – those who resisted were slaughtered.
In the end, some 20 million Christians were slaughtered by the mostly-Jewish Bolsheviks who left Russia in ruins through their revolution. It is a story that is rarely ever told, but one that deserves some attention in light of everything taking place right now on the world stage.

Russian mathematician Nikolay Yemelyanov, a professor at St. Tichon’s Orthodox University, estimates that during the seven-year reign of Vladimir Lenin, nearly 25,000 Orthodox priests were imprisoned, and of these about 16,000 slaughtered, for their Christian faith.
Secular English writer Martin Louis Amis says that many Catholic priests were treated the same, quoting Lenin himself who called “any idea of God … an indescribable abjection of the most dangerous kind, a plague of the most abominable.”
Notice how hateful this brand of godless atheism is, and recognize that the Bolsheviks were responsible for it. Even long after Lenin had died, his teachings and legacy lived on, resulting in upwards of 20 million Christians being slaughtered by them from 1921 through 1980.
To believe in God in any capacity was looked at as the gravest of sins to the godless, atheistic Bolsheviks who paid no regard for human life, which we know is made in the image of God, whom they hate.
The new religion that was introduced by force into the Soviet Union was one of mandatory atheism with total belief in the state and state alone. Anyone who disagrees was to be put to death automatically – no exceptions.
“Communism was a secular religion, without God: a tragic atheist religion,” declared historian Fulvo De Giorgi, an Italian professor. “It had a political and intra-human (reversed) ‘religion faith,’ with a lay eschatology: a historical millenarianism.”
“Unfortunately this faith in a possible earthly perfection was in fact inhumane, because it lacked the true, eschatological and transcendent hope: for this reason, it had to see as enemies and hate all those who did not conform with its para-theological patterns. So, what had to be the heaven on earth was, in reality, a horrible hell: a dictatorship made of gulags, deportations, mass slaughter, and regimentation.”
Many others would write similar accounts about the horrors of life, or lack thereof, under Bolshevism, which removed God from everything, including by eradicating as many humans as possible who bear His image.
You see, the godless atheist has reneged on his God-given image, instead choosing the image and mark of the god of this world, who plays both good (Lucifer) and evil (Satan) and left versus right. He masquerades as an angel of light – and so do his legions – to trick and to deceive through any means possible.
Because the Russia of old bore the image of God so strongly with humble adherence to God and His truths no matter the level of poverty and suffering endured, the godless, atheistic Bolsheviks, many of them Jewish, set out to destroy them. And their hatred for Russia and its Christian legacy persists even unto this very day as seen throughout the now-Bolshevik-controlled West.
